Happy Easter! Easter is a tradition in Mallorca.

Traditional line of thousands of people in the streets of Manacor to admire the solemn ‚Sant Crist‘ processions parish brotherhoods ‚Cofradias‘, painfully slowly pull their way through the city streets. Each fraternity is dressed in penitent robes and conical hoods and carrying religious statues on heavy platforms, accompanied by somber music.
Good Friday – The mid-day staging of Christ’s suffering on the steps of the Church of Manacor follows in the evening (around 21.00), the procession of the Holy Burial.

Easter Sunday – The joyous procession of the encounter marks the reunification of the risen Jesus with his mother. A group of men carrying a statue of Jesus and met a group of women carrying a statue of the Virgin Mary.
